At Webscale, we understand the evolving cloud technology landscape and the challenges that organizations face in harnessing its full potential. That’s why we’ve embarked on a mission to provide ecommerce businesses accessible cloud deployment tooling through our ecommerce hosting platform. To advance the capabilities of the platform, we’re looking to add an experienced engineer that will directly influence the success of the expanded product offering by contributing to all parts of the agile software development cycle, from design to release. The code they write will run as part of a pipeline that serves hundreds of millions of HTTP requests daily.
The ideal candidate will be both a hands-on leader and a mentor, who can provide technical guidance, drive innovation, and foster growth among junior engineers. This role requires a balance of leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to stay deeply involved in the codebase.
Culture
Our primary measure of progress is deploying working, peer-reviewed software multiple times a week. We are committed to clean, high-quality code and apply continuous attention to technical excellence with team-wide collaborations on design and implementation. We work at a fast pace that optimizes throughput, sustainable development, and deployment success.
Some core values of the team include:
- Progress is best delivered in small, incremental chunks.
- Debates, honest conversations, and collaboration make the team stronger.
- Accept that mistakes will be made and learn from them.

- Flexibly work across a variety of different projects and codebases.
