So, the last thing you need is a bad PCI audit to squash your new found positive mojo.<\/p>\n<p>PCI-compliance requires you to have an official vendor providing you with security patches, as it\u2019s obviously no longer Adobe\/Magento, as well as a number of other best practices around security. While many businesses signed up with us, with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webscale.com\/product\/webscale-m1-support\/\">M1 Support service<\/a>, and other vendors offering similar platforms, thousands did not. It is those storefronts that may not pass their yearly audit and may find themselves losing the ability to process credit cards.<\/p>\n<p>Those same merchants have also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Magento\/comments\/o2iasb\/magento_1_end_of_life_braintree_and_paypal_taking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">started to again receive nastygrams from PayPal<\/a>, warning them that their storefronts will fall out of compliance if they don\u2019t migrate to a Magento 2 version that is being currently supported by Adobe\/Magento. We made our feelings pretty clear on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webscale.com\/blog\/magento-1-eol-visa-said-need-know\/\">motivation behind this<\/a> before.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other vendors that jumped on, and quickly off, the M1 bandwagon, Webscale has continued to release patches on a regular basis for M1. To date, we have issued <strong>49 patches<\/strong> for both Open Source and Commerce versions (the platforms formerly known as Community and Enterprise), and we will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
